DigitalPersona One Touch I.D. RTE is the runtime environment that enables applications built with the DigitalPersona One Touch I.D. SDK to capture, enroll, and match fingerprints on Windows PCs. It installs the core biometric matching engine, required libraries, and device drivers for compatible DigitalPersona fingerprint readers, allowing end-user systems to perform on-device 1:1 verification and 1:N identification without the development tools. Designed for reliable, real-world performance, the RTE supports secure handling of fingerprint templates in line with the calling application’s storage and policy choices. Typical use cases include workforce sign-in, point-of-sale operator authentication, time and attendance tracking, and access control within line-of-business applications.
